Dickerhoof Properties is a licensed Real Estate Brokerage Company consisting of members of the Dickerhoof family. When acting as brokers, we only represent ourselves for our personal investment and often we are represented by outside brokers. We are a principal in retail real estate acquisition, development, general construction, and property management of our portfolio.
Darren Dickerhoof is a licensed real estate principal broker in Oregon and specializes in property management and commercial real estate investment. He is married to Kristen and has two young sons. He attended Oregon State University in Construction Engineering Management and has over 25 years experience working in Oregon and various other locations in the Pacific Northwest. Darren also has extensive experience in property management, leasing and construction. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and is in charge of locating properties to acquire, leasing, and financing.
Matt Dickerhoof is a licensed real estate broker and general contractor in the state of Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada. He attended Oregon State University in Construction Management Engineering and played football there for three years. Matt has over 20 years experience in residential and commercial construction and heads our construction program which includes redeveloping older centers and doing build to suits.
Darin Cole specializes in business operations, tenant management, and marketing. He is married to Dawn and they have two sons and two daughters. He attended Oregon State University and received a BS in Environmental Health and Safety, and a MBA from the University of Phoenix. Darin has over 15 years experience working in business operations and relationship management for CH2M HILL, Managed Business Solutions, and Hewlett-Packard. He also has experience in property management and contract negotiations.
Dickerhoof Properties' primary focus is retail real estate acquisition, renovation and repositioning. We also do built to suit projects and can handle every aspect from site location and land acquisition to development and construction. Dickerhoof Properties owns and manages over 750,000 square feet of retail properties. Most of these properties are in secondary markets in Oregon and most have been acquired or built since 2000. We also own property in Nevada, Washingtion, Wyoming, and Idaho and as we have built relationships with national retailers, we have remained open to working on projects anywhere in the greater Pacific Northwest.
We pride ourselves on being a family business that is able to respond quickly and attentively to tenant's and are easy for national tenants to work with since our decision making process only involves a small number of family members that are motivated to grow our business and able to respond in a timely manner. A few years ago our renovations were project driven in that we would find a building to buy and then look for tenants to lease to. Now most of our projects are tenant driven in that national tenants we have done prior deals with ask us to look in specific markets for them with the goal that we find an existing building to renovate or land for new construction that meets the location and desired rental rate needs of the tenant so that we are able to proceed.
